I bought him a lock pick set but he's already broken into my Cadillac twice and gone "wilding". My insurance doesn't cover this crap.

Usually you're not supposed to take back gifts that you already gave someone.... Maybe you shouldn't have given him a lock pick set in the first place.

I'm afraid that I don't understand the expression "wilding". Probably because I'm English. But I think your gift was unwise. You should have given him a starter pack for Bank robbers. They are available on line and comprise. A balaclava , A gun. Some rope and some empty money bags. Really you are setting your sights too low for your grandson

I am curious as to why you bought him a "lock pick set" in the first place?
If you give someone a gift , surely you expect them to use it. What will you do if he breaks into someones home and "borrows " their stuff?
If he goes to jail is it your fault?I would buy the lock pick set back from him.

I would take it back in a heart beat. What I want to know is why you would give him a gift like that to begin with. That seems like just asking for trouble.
