Often my friends exchange gifts with one another but they don't really buy me gifts. It's not like its bothering me, I don't expect to get gifts from anyone, I just want to know your opinions. They know that I am having financial trouble so do you think this is the reason why? Maybe they don't want me to feel bad that they bought me a gift and I will have trouble buying them one? What do you think?

well i have a very good friend and we didn't buy gifts for each-other, it is easier, and we know that we are friends and we don't need gifts to prove it! it is alot of trouble and it can cost alot, don't take offense, you could make them a card if you want to give them something without really buying anything!

It sounds like you have the answer. They probably don't want you to feel bad about not getting them gifts. Try not to let it bother you; even though that may be hard sometimes.
