I don't understand how anyone could get upset by someone who is being nice, period. Wishing someone happy holidays is a friendly and warm greeting from someone to another. I've been told happy holidays or merry Christmas many many times in the last three weeks and the truth of the matter is...this is the worst Christmas season I ever experienced. I just buried my Stepfather 28 day's ago, last night at 1:30 in the morning, I got a phone call saying that my step brother droped while mending fence on his ranch and is in a coma due to a heart attack. This is the first time I will have Christmas without my twin brother due to loosing him a few months ago and I'm taking this real hard. It would be real easy to snap at someone for just saying hello or have a good day. There's no such thing as having a good day for me right now. Loosing anyone is hard but loosing a twin brother who you loved and were very close to makes it even harder than ever but, I smile and say thank you or merry christmas to you and move on. Being offended by people wishing you happy holidays? No, how can someone be angry at anyone who's just being nice?

No, I always say Happy Holidays... if anyone gets offended by it, they can think that I'm just talking about Christmas Eve and Christmas, or Christmas and New Years = P

I'm irritated, but generally don't take offense at it.I prefer Merry Christmas. But I also understand them not wanting to offend me by assuming. The way I see it it's the essence that counts more,I'm more offended by those trying to get rid of all of it all together because it "offends"them. They expect their rights yet want to deny everyone else...pathetic.If you don't like it don't listen to it,make your own and celebrate it in your own home and fashion,or don't.It's suppossed to be a free country, lets keep it that way.

No, I'm not offended by it. I rather enjoy it, people are being nice, and taking into consideration other people as well... people like that are great.
