I'm not sure how to do this, but I just wanted to tell of my experinece with a man and his son when I was shopping about an hour from home. A freind and I were leaving the store parking lot and the adult had a sign that read "traveling broke and hungry", in the rain. The interstate was their main travel route, which was only about 2 minutes walking distance away. I handed the two a $10 bill. I was asked by my husband if I thought maybe I was being taken advantage of. First, I told him, whoever stands in the cold rain in December deserves some help. Second, maybe they are trying to get to family, and what's a holiday without family. And third, it is the holiday for giving. I did not expect an explanation of their situation. My point is, that no matter the time of year, we should be willng to help out our human race in any way possible. Whether you help out or not is your decision, but remember it may not be far down the road you needing their help. Merry Christmas Yahoo Users!

I don't always no the answer to this?? I live in Fl & panhandleing is legal if u get a license from the city. But churches & orginizations help out. They also run out or only help their own people. It is a catch 22. I m often criticized by family b/c I m a sucker. I have done alot of things. In a gas sta,i saw 2 kids pushing a car, lost apt. & tring get 2 moms, gave'm 10$ 4 gas. We have a local web site to give any thing away we don't want to trash. 1 lady is asking for help for 2 kids single mom had a bad yr. So I, agreed to meet her w/ a few kids gifts. People get insulted if adults use cigerettes or pot or????I believe in doing things 1st hand & not org's I don't trust them!If there were not org.s it will be entirely up 2 us. Org.s always want to see medicaid card or birth.cert. then I no they give 1-2 gifts per person. What abt. worker that is just broke???
