I like the dark horse Mark Warner, the former governor of VA, the best. I think he has appeal across the board especially to some more of the moderate southern/midwestern states. Besides, the last democratic success was a governor of a southern/midwestern state, why not go that route? I like Edwards for the appeal to everyone across the nation, but he is still too closely associated with the Kerry-Edwards debacle. He needs to do something else in the public eye to erase that image. The problem with the democratic party, in my opinion, is the entrenchment of the northeastern elitism. Because of that they are hung up on Hillary Clinton, and they really have no idea how HATED she is south and west of NY. There is no way in hell she is going to get elected (I voted for Kerry, but I wouldn't vote for her, and I am not alone). If she is nominated I think it will be a landslide for the republicans, reminiscent of Reagan vs. Mondale in 1984. Then there is Obama, the wonder-kid of the democratic party. I like him too but a junior senator will get eaten alive in a real campaign. The democrats need to stop what they are doing and really think what is going to win the election, that is someone who will appeal to the middle, the independents (like me). It was just proven in the midterm election this year. Hopefully both parties have taken notice and have realized that they can no longer pander to their base and expect to be elected.

I like Hillary and Obama, but I like Edwards too. As a matter of fact I think Edwards would have a better chance of winning because he's a southerner and he would appeal to conservatives in the south.

I`m quite sure the best candidate will be running as a third party member......Too bad america loves getting it up the *** by the "two party system" every election year.

Probably Obama, or Kuchinich and Sharpton, if they are official candidates already.

I say Obama. He could just be the new, fresh change that this country needs.
