The function of the no longer difficulty-free tension is to permit the storage and retrieval of information, until now no longer difficulty-free drives they used to apply floppies. It does shop a historic previous of what u do, yet no longer each key stroke. yet yeah pictures, music, video games and purposes enormously plenty each thing. no longer difficulty-free drives could be bumped off whilst the computing device is became of, whether some are 'warm swappable' and can be bumped off whilst the computing device continues to be on. without the no longer difficulty-free tension a working laptop or computing device could be somewhat constrained, as each thing could desire to be saved in memory which altough swifter is extra high priced for storage than an HD, plus the place could you shop each thing whilst u powered down. wish this helps.

Must have stuff on it. If you want to keep the programs let them be.

Look for Text files (TXT) and internet cache material to purge.

Also do a defrag

You might also have a virus. Download AGV free and run a system check.

What condition is the computer in? Is it overloaded with downloaded programs or does it have only on-board programs?

Have you thought of wiping the hard drive or replacing it entirely?

delete everything lol

those 18 "missing" gigabytes are probably being used for your OS files and program files

but those don't take up too much space

i suspect the majority is being taken up by media files (mp3s,videos,photos,games...........) it's probably ok to get rid of those
