As a nursery nurse, we recommend no blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, etc. in the crib. Keep the room temp 78 w/no drafts.
You can use positioners they sell....or rolled up blankets to keep them on their backs/sides (DON'T LET THEM SLEEP ON BELLY). You can place a rolled up towel under their feet so they don't slide to the end of the crib.

Babies are going to move in their cribs, there is no way of preventing that. If your worried about their feet sticking out between the bars put something there so the feet can't go through the bars. To keep them from sliding down, maybe the incline is too steep. Put something smaller under the mattress, a small blanket or something to raise the head of the bed.

Hello. Sorry to hear about your loss. I would use saline drops in their noses before they go to bed. Too bad they are not 12 weeks you could use the Baby Vicks Vapor Rub. I never had any luck with putting the pillow under the mattress, my kids always ended up at the end of the bed. Try the drops. Do you have a humidifier? That would help them breathe too. Put a little drop of Vicks in the water. I never had much luck with the positioners either. You could put a rolled up blanket under their legs so they cannot move around. It sounds like you are doing everything you can. Do they like to be swaddled still? You could wrap them up nice and tight like they do at the hospital then they shouldn't be able to move around as much. Good Luck and Congratulations.

You have the bed slanted too much. Try folding a blanket and putting it under the mattress. You can fold it to the proper thickness. Or do what it did: I let my son sleep in his swing (next to my bed) when he was very small and had a cold. I have also padded the highchair (mine leans back) and let him sleep there. I just made sure he didn't "slump" so that he could breathe well. Babies who can't pull the covers off of them should NEVER have covers. Buy sleep sacks or keep putting them in heavier jammies.

They make little moses basket type things you can put in a crib. Its like a bassinet inside the crib. That might be your best option. Otherwise, prop them on their sides with a towel at their back and take out the pillow. As for the bars, you could put up a bumper pad until they are big enough to use it to pull themselves up. At least that way you won't see legs peeking out between the bars.

what you need to do is get two cribs. Put each baby in different ones. Then for the bars, put pillows against the sides so their feet won't be able to get caught up in them. Or what you could do is put them on the floor. The safest place for a baby to sleep is the floor. I really hope everything works out for you! God bless, and happy holidays:)

Feet out between the bars and being sideways against the bars is not a big deal. Kids/babies are going to move around. If they are absolutely miserable from being stuffed up and you want to prop them up--have them sleep in a carrier.
Do NOT have them fall asleep in a bouncer or swing! Kids have died this way, bouncers can pinch legs or slow circulation around the legs...swings left unattended--because of the movement, babies have spit up and have choked to death on their spit.

take all blankets, separators, and pillows out, leave the mattress flat, and use a humidifier with Vicks in the water. If you don't have a humidifier, use a crockpot with 2 inches of water and a tablespoon of Vicks in the water.

Do you think they would be comfortable sleeping in a bouncer or car seat until the stuffiness goes away? I'm sorry for your loss.
