I have run virus scan and spyware scans, both of which came up clean. I set folder options to show hidden files.

Also, when I check the drive's properties, it still says 100gigs are in use, so the files seem to be still there, yet I cannot access or see them.

I am running Windows XP.

I tried to use system restore, but there are no dates available. I cannot even go back to the previous month.

go to tools>folder options and selct view tab. in that select show hidden files and folders ans click apply. all the files will reappear. if still they dont then run scandisk and check ur hdd. sumthing is wrong in its read and write process
