Why is my air condition fan still blowing through the vents when my unit outside is off and my thermostat on the wall is saying off?

your thermostat has probably gone bad. try changing it out for a new one. good luck.

Hi. if you have old system, 1. the relay controlling the fan is closed due to defective coil. 2. The thermostat fan control is probably on.

Probably thermostat connection was loose inside or checks if the power to blower was connected from deferent breaker

More info is needed on the equipment you own, if it's not the fan switch in the thermsstat, it may be you fan switch in the furnace controls is stuck in the closed position.

swithh the fan switch on the t-state to auto.
