If you get a ringtone for a cingular pay as you go phone does it take money off of your account or do you have to pay a bill or something?

Yes, if you get a ringtone, they take it away from your account balance. Say you have $50 on your phone, and got a ringtone for $2.99, it'd take that from your $50 balance.

Also, I don't know if you have a phone that has a web browser, but there is a site called www.mobile17.com - where you can upload your own ringtone (part of a song off your computer). I used it a few times for my cell phone, that way, you don't have to pay $2 or whatever for a ringtone, just upload it on the site, it takes usually an hour or so, then they will send you a text message with PART of the song in a link.

You should check it out, if you have a web browser on your phone.
