This is important for me for the purposes of student loans. It gives loan amounts for 1st , 2nd, and then 3rd and 4th year students and the loan amount increases for the 3rd and 4th year. How many hours would I have to have comlpeted to qualify as a 3rd year student?

My suggestion would be ask your financial aid office. They can quickly calculate this for you and give you a concrete answer. Each college is different so if we answered it would just be a guess. Good Luck in school!

You would be considered 3rd year after you have completed 103 credit hours.

137/4 = 34.25 credit hours per year (17 - 18 per semester/9 per quarter)

34.25 x 3 = 102.75 credit hours
