For example if you like dogs better than cats I'd like to know why. You could say you are alirgeic to cats so you like dogs. That would be a great reason. I'm looking forward to some answers!!!

Dogs, You can do so much more with them and have a lot more fun. Have you ever seen a cat fetch your slippers or catch a frisbie?

Well, if you lead a very active lifestyle and go out a lot, a cat is the better pet, simply because they are so much more independant than dogs. Dogs need to be let outside to do "their business" a couple of times a day atleast. They cannot be left alone overnight if you have to go away for a day or two. Cats however, as long as they are left with lots of food and fresh water and a clean litter box can be left alone for a day or two with little worry.
Also, you can have a cat in a smaller place such as an apartment, whereas this may not be an appropriate home for a bigger dog that needs more room to move.

I like both actually but I only have cats and the reason for this is that dogs require more time. With my families schedule we don't have the time that would be needed to properly care for a dog so we haven't gotten one. Cats are pretty easy going and don't need as much attention.

I like both cats and dogs. But I am a cat owner because I am disabled and I can't take a dog out for walks and pick up it's poop. I can't give a dog it's bath. My cat washes herself,I brush her and I clean out her Litter. She is small and soft and silky to the touch. She cuddles, Oh I know that a small lap dog can cuddle but cats are more likely to be cuddles. Any way being in a wheelchair a car is easier for me to take care of.

Dogs because they are loyal and cats are more independent and would rather just go off and do their own thing. Also, I am allergic to cats.
I love dogs because they actually care about you and would do anything for you. Not saying that cats wouldn't it just seems that a dog puts ppl first and cats put themselves first. I love dogs, and I have only owned one cat so I really don't know a lot about their behaviors but I know that even if I wasn't allergic to cats, I would never own one again. They are just selfish.

I prefer dogs, because they can be disciplined to be well-behaved. Cats are much more independent, much more wild, actually. They condescend to live with humans for their own convenience, but they do not change their ways in order to live better with humans. Dogs and horses do, and they are my favorite animals.
Dogs have long been said to be man[apostrophe]s best friend, and many people feel cats are therefore more a woman[apostrophe]s best friend -- indeed a witch[apostrophe]s familiar is most often depicted as a cat. Therefore, since I am a female who prefers dogs, make of that what you will.

I can not decide between the two, i have to say i love them both equally as much. I have 2 kitties because i live in an apartment, but i have been waiting 21 years for a dog, and i can't wait to get a house, JUST so i can get a dog.
I like cats because they are indepentend, yet still love to be loved on. They are fun to play with, they are soft and cuddley, and they make me laugh every day. My two kitties follow me around the house, just to see what i'm doing. Also because they are easy to keep up.
I love dogs because they are ALWAYS happy to see you. They greet you at the door as if they haven't seen you for weeks. They are CUTE. They love to play, and they also make you laugh. You can take them to the park to play, or up north. THey just make you feel good whenever they are around.

I love all animals, but I favor dogs a bit over cats. I mean, cats are loving and everything, but some don't show that joy that dogs show. Cats will love their owners, but the highest point of their affections is saved for their owners. Dogs, on the other hand, will rush up to any strangers (well, some dogs) and lick them, and will seem like they're asking what happened to you, and they just shower you with affection. I know because there were a few dogs at the dog park who would do things with me that they wouldn't do with their owners. One never licked or sat on their owner's lap, but when he saw me, he'd rush over and lick me and sit on my lap. Cats are great, but I just like dogs a bit better.

Dogs, they are loyal, and easy to train, and if looked after well can become like one of the family. Cats are lovely too, and need less time and attention, but dogs are far more loving.

They are both awesome. I have 7 dogs and 2 cats, and love them all.
