The players have very little choice on the matter. TV companies dictate that games are played on Xmas day it is in the contracts.

I'd cash in my vacation too if football was all I had to do. It's tradition, Monday Night Football. And the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. You'd have to be a fan to understand.

well pepple would do anything to stay in the nfl so yah they open presents in the mornig and then got to go practice for the game simple as that im on norter dame collge football this year im getting drafted my coach told me i might play for bears im a QB my name is brady quinn so i should know i keep my name on this secret so know one asks me all these quisins so i thoght of jamesspoto for my fake name yah but if rex groossman does good i wont go to the bears

Gives people something to do after they get done eating dinner. So they can just sit down enjoy the game and wait for there food to digest!

What else is the family suppossed to do on christmas day? and if you were getting paid as much as them, you probably would mind playing on christmas?
