I do, and my children do too. It is bad manners not to do so. Before my kids could write, I had them draw a picture, and then copied it for all of the notes that I wrote for them. When they got a little older, I photo copied one thank you note and taped it into the others. This year my oldest will be able to write them on his own, and I will help with envelopes.
In fact, if I give a gift for a baby shower and I DON'T get a Thank You note - I don't give a gift when the baby is born. (Mean, I know - but hey, I already gave one. Why should I spend any more money on someone with no common courtesy?)
CHILDREN especially need to be taught to send them, this world is changing dramatically for the worst. People are becoming more and more heartless - we need to move back to a time of good manners. People don't even hold doors for others anymore, and rarely do I hear an "excuse me" or "thank you" anymore when I am out.
Ohhh, did I just go on a tirade about one simple question?? (Sorry.....)

I do, and I think more people should. If someone took the time to send you something, a quick note dropped in the mailbox is the least someone can do.

I still send "Thank you" notes. Although, in this day and age of technology, I send more "Thank you" emails. The written notes are usually for special occasions.

Not many , but it is nice to receive one...It makes you feel good about giving....I still send them......

I do! I send a real card, in a real envelope, with a stamp on it and everything.

I usually send Thank You EMAILS.
