This has been bugging me for ages, but where do all the letters kids send to "santa" go to. Do they all get recycled, thrown away , or is there a place in the north pole where there are millions of letters lying around.

My Mum told me: the post services round the world get them to him in some secret way. Then they are recycled after he or chief elves read them.

I read in The Guardian that letters addressed to 'Santa, North Pole' will go to the village of North Pole in Alaska where schoolkids aka Santa's little helpers answer them.

They go towards keeping the postal service in business. the question is: how come santa's not using the more environmentally friendly email?

I'm no conspiracy theorist but it does beg the question as to whether Santa has shares in the Royal Mail. Which begs yet another question... should Santa be jailed for commercial exploitation? Or at least slapped on the hand for trying to monopolise the market?

well they go to Santa of course. After he has read them all he puts them into a re-cycle machine situated outside his log cabin in the North Pole and his elves make books for the childrens Christmas presents.

My kids are young enough to have always sent santa their lists in an e-mail. (I set up a yahoo e-mail acount in the form of Santasgifts@yahoo.com ...or something to that effect... so they get something back from him every year...like a "confirmation number"). Those "letters from santa" get printed out for them to keep.

My mom kept our lists my sister and I made as kids and put them in a scrapbook (she doesn't show my kids this, or they'll know something's up).

unless the post office (or parents) route them other places, most end up in North Pole, Alaska or Helsinki, Finland. letters from kids that made it through Katrina are going to Shreveport to be answered.

i think of the shaggy dog tale is rather proper for the present time and solutions a question that grew to become into in my techniques for an prolonged time. How are terrorists made, may well be via the intense standards demanded via the international. The boy, however he has executed an act of terrorism, is right, in that, the bike is given as a present for birthday, he would not ought to earn it via being good. perhaps, via giving him the bike as present, perhaps he would not deserve it, we could have one terrorist much less to handle interior the destiny.
