No. Nothing of any kind should be open, regardless of location or circumstances.
The only people working should be the ultra-essential workers like police, fire and hospitals, plus churches.

Walgreens is a private company and can open or close whenever they see fit.
BUT, the trend in retail is to be open more days and more hours.
My company (one of the top 5 retailers worldwide) used to be closed for 7 holidays a year and would always close early on Christmas eve.
We now only close for Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day. We are open 7 days a week other than those 2. We also stay open late on Christmas Eve...thankfully this year it is a Sunday so it won't be crazy late.
We're not making money during those late hours really, but everyone in America is chasing Wal-Mart and they are open those days and hours, so we all will be for a while.

I don't think they should be opened but last year it helped me a bit because I had to get a prescription filled and I always got my prescriptions at wal-mart but now i get them a t walgreens i am sorry they have to work on christmas but so do i like all other healthcare workers because at work at the hospital. It's my fault I chose to work at the hospital and knew I would work holidays so if you don't want to work christmas don't work at walgreens or the hospital, Have a very merry christmas and a blessed new year.

Walgreens is free to open or close as they wish. They are open because they obviously are making a profit by doing so. Since everything else is closed, if people need something, they all go to Walgreens.

Walgreen's isn't the only place open on Christmas Day. So is CVS Pharmacy. There are many places open, and it's a shame for the employees but obviously management knows that their is a profit to be made by being open.
Kids and people get sick they need to get their medicine, so to many its a convenience.

One Christmas it helped me that they were open. One of my children needed an emergency prescription filled. I think it is up to the employees and the Walgreen corporation to remain open. It's not up to us.

Yes they should be ,but the stores should be staffed with the people who made the decision to open the stores .Let the regular workers off.I would like to see Management follow their own directives for just once to see how they like it .

I'm sure that their employees won't agree with me, but I find it comforting that a drug store remains open, incase of any accidents or emergencies. It always seems like those things happen at the most inconvenient times.

I think it should be a staff decision. anyone who wants to work Christmas day can volunteer. if they have enough people then they should open. if not, then no. people shouldnt be forced to work on a holiday if they dont want to.

Nothing should be open and everyone should be allowed to be at home with their family's and give the almighty dollar a rest for awhile.
