I use Windows XP Home version. My compter is a laptop, not sure if that matters, it has been doing this for about a month now. A friend of mine told me to shut it down in Safe Mode to see if it stayed on during the night to rule out viruses as being the cause, it still turned off. I have shut if down in Stand By and it is still in that mode in the morning. I'm not really sure what is going on, it doesn't do it everyday, just totally random. Mostly when I am listening to music, watching a movie, but it has done it when I just loaded up MSN too. Once it shuts down and I restart it right away it usually shuts down once again before it totally starts up, it's like I have to give it a break before I can turn it back on once it shuts down on me. If anyone can help or knows any possibilities of why this is doing this I would love to hear something, I still have a warranty for about 1.5 yrs on it too. Thanks in advance.

There is probably dust in your heatsink.
You can either open it up and remove the dust (There will be ALOT)... Or take it somewhere to get this done.

may be quite a few issues. first of all have you ever screwed with any of your clock speeds? in case you have you should be getting some over heating. in case you could start up your computing device up, pull the fringe of the case off and determine all your followers are working. If, case in point, you have a fan on your heatsink and its no longer working, you in basic terms could have a cooling situation. however, if a working laptop or computing device in basic terms randomly starts shutting down or restarting, you mostly anticipate its one in each of two issues: loose cables, or a undesirable capability furnish. determine all your cables are tight. If that's a undesirable PSU, do no longer subject too lots... capability factors die. particularly low-cost ones. you could %. them up low-cost and that they are uncomplicated to place in. some boards will additionally provide an blunders code (beeping) if the capability furnish (or something) is out of whack. considering you're asking this question i visit anticipate you probably did no longer build your computing device however and surely tearing into your rig ought to void your guarantee. i could touch the producer.

In my opinion it is Brontoka Virus, try free edition of Avast Antivirus Home Edition, you can download it from http://www.avast.com I'd the same problem with my PC in my office and at home, I tried it and it worked. Norton Antivirus was unable to remove it.

i suppose its the heat.
first goto bios settings and check your cpu temperature.
normal range shouldn't be over than 55 celsius.
but dont know what to do with the laptop even if its the high temp.

You need to change your processor fan. Further usage of the system will damage your hardware.
