you need to tell her that
honestly she cant take anyTHING with her but she will remember you love for all eternity
so dont let a day slip by without telling her so
trust me it will mean more to her than anything you could ever buy

Frames with a picture of each of your kids. Write her a letter knowing that she has made a huge difference in your life. Maybe include that poem:
100 Years From Now
One hundred years from now
It will not matter
What kind of car I drove,
What kind of house I lived in,
How much I had in my bank
Nor what my clothes looked like.
One hundred years from now
It will not matter
What kind of school I attended,
What kind of typewriter I used,
How large or small my church,
But the world may be ...
a little better because...
I was important in the life of a child.

i gave my grandmother a stuffed cat. she held onto it and slept with it. when she passed i got the cat and it is put up where i can see it everyday. My daughter was born after my grandmother passed and she knows that the cat belonged to G.G. I don't really ever remember telling her about her but my daughter who is 2 talks about her like she has known her for all her life. it comforts me to think that my grandmother is with us all the time and she watches over my children. the stuffed cat gives me something to hold on to that she loved and held on to when she needed to. i can still smell the powder that she wore all the time. your grandmother does not have to know why you gave her the stuffed animal. god bless you for being there for her now in her later years. so many elderly get left behind be cause everybodys lives are so busy and they don't think about the fact that someday they may not be there for them to visit. God bless you and your family

Go through your old photos. Find pictures of yourself when you were little. Ones of you and your Grandparents, when times were happy. Take it up to the birth of your kids and end with a nice photo of your whole family. Make a nice album for them. They will cherrish it forever. I know, I have mine. :)
Good luck, and Merry Christmas.

A Locket with a your picture or a picture of you and your kids in it. Or maybe a Cross necklace. Depends on what she has and might want. Maybe a really nice bible ..white ones are pretty and can be found at Christian book stores.

It may sound silly but a stuffed bear. We got grandma a stuffed bear & she kept it always & it played music. She would call us when the batteries ran down ! So we got a supply of replacements for her.

Maybe she doesn't want to be reminded of her impending death. Give her something useful to show you understand she is not dead yet. Give her postage, or an appliance to make things easier in the kitchen, or a paraffin bath for her hands.
