As a member of the GLBT community, I'm curious to know what everyone's plans are for this holiday.
Do you celebrate?
Do you visit family and/or friends?
Will you be having a quiet holiday alone or with your partner?
Just thought I'd turn the mood around...hope that no matter what you find yourself loved.

As a mother, a partner, a sister, cousin and Aunt...I know I have very full schedule of baking, visiting multiple groups of my family and my partner's as well as another small celebration later in the week for just the kids. (We're postponing it this year because my son is out of town and we have a lot of disjointed family)
I can't wait for New Years!! LOL

Ok, I'm skipping my family and going over to Modern Jesus' house! That turkey sounds AWSOME!!! I did a chipotle rub on my turkey one year for Thanksgiving, turned it an interesting shade of red, but boy everybody really loved it!
YUMMY!!

Thanks for asking this question! It's interesting to me to see how different people celebrate or not.
I'm a retail manager and have been working 80+ hour weeks to get through the holiday shopping frenzy. So today and tomorrow are a celebration not only of Christmas but a celebration of my life returning to normal.
Today (Christmas Eve) I will finish a tiny bit of last minute shopping, clean the house and get food ready for tomorrow. I'll have a nice dinner out with some dear friends.
Tomorrow my 16 year old daughter will be here as well as my mother and a few other family members.
I haven't been part of my daughter's life until this year, so it is our first Christmas together. To say I am excited would be a gross understatement.
We'll do gifts and great food, probably play some games and just relax and enjoy each others company.

I thought this year i'd celebrate yule instead of christmas given that i stopped being a christian a couple of years ago.
That said, the rest of my family is over and we'll still be enjoying turkey+trimmings. Here's how I like mine:
Turkey: Cover with bacon. place chipolatas in the turkey pan to fry in the turkey and bacon grease and absorb oven heat too
Carrots: Coat in a mixture of light muscovado sugar and honey, drizzle oil over and roast. Thick carrots may want parboiling.
Roasties: Fry in bacon/turkey/chipolata grease, delicious
Gravy: from the bottom of the turkey pan, add a little flour and stir.
Edit: Oh, for crispier roasties, instead of shaking in flour, shake in semolina and then shake around in a pan with a lid to rough the edges before frying. Oh and get the oil REAL hot.

My daughter and I will be here in Santa Cruz, celebrating Christmas in our own hedonistic style. In the afternoon we'll drive to the San Jose area to visit family and exchange gifts over much laughing and joking. We'll go to more than one home, as there are a couple stay-at-homes among us. One of my friends is bringing her husband and making happy at my mom's, around the time I arrive. Not a lot of religion, but tonza love!
Happy day to you, too.

Well today I will be at my aunts house for the annual Christmas dinner, god knows how long that will last.....there better be something there to keep my spirit up :-P, then most likely I will come home and do what I always do on Christmas eve lay in bed and watch A Christmas Story over & over again on TBS cause I will be to lazy & hurting from over eating to reach for the remote.
Then tomorrow my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew will be coming over so I can eat some more, then I will be regreting it all. lol.
Happy Holidays Everyone!

My plans are to work overtime on Christmas Day and then head out to the Chicago Eagle after work and "celebrate" the night with friends/strangers.
The day after I spend with my mother, her husband, and my sister. We have a quick dinner, exchange gifts then head our separate ways. I get it all.
Overtime, friends, and family. I hope others enjoy the day as well no matter what you believe or celebrate.
