I can sleep thru anything except snoring and the sound of my son. I have slept thru fire alarms, and other loud noises. But my son comes to my side of the bed and I am awake. My husband is the lightest sleeper..he wakes up at the smallest movement or sound. He never is fully rested either.

How bout you?

I have two very small children, so I wake up at the slightest sound. I always assume it's one of them getting up, or falling out of bed, or something like that.

I'm a very sound sleeper, there have been times the smoke detector has gone off in the middle of the night and I haven't heard it (the smoke detector was detecting smoke from a wood stove, no fire threat)

I wish I were a sound sleeper. It's cool in my apartment and the temp woke me up. I actually wear ear plugs now to stay asleep. They really help.

Light sleeper... I use a fan to have a steady background noise to block out noises that pop up (traffic on the street outside, etc). During thunderstorms I use earplugs.

For the first three years of my life, I lived in a top-floor apartment under the flight path for National Airport. Nothing wakes me up these days EXCEPT my husband shaking me and saying "did you hear that!?!?!"
