I was in a shopping mall yesterday and there were these two girls wrapping people's Christmas gifts for free. The queue was enormous and the desperate look on people's faces to get it done was incredible.

I'm pretty good at wrapping presents, but I know it's frustrating for some people that aren't.
It is a chore and I still have to do all mine later...actually maybe I'll pop down to that shopping mall and dump all my stuff on those two girls! lol. Nah, just kidding.

Yes, I hate wrapping gifts. I was finished shopping about 2 weeks ago, but I still have to wrap them, trying to find the motivation.

I believe wrapping presents is the most fiddly, tedious thing I have to do all year.
What a good idea for those two girls to wrap peoples gifts for free.

I feel sorry for those girls. It can get tedious, if you're wrapping stuff for strangers. Hope they got paid a decent amount.
Personally, I love to wrap for my family and friends. Take a long time on each gift, add extra stuff to the bows, maybe a tie on. Try to make each one as pretty as possible.
Most tedious thing I do all year is housework.

i work in retail and wrapping presents is childs play compared to having to put those little plastic tags in things. Not kimbles - they are fun(you have to use a gun, fantastic for venting frustration), but the ones you have to loop around and fasten a bit like mini cable ties.
But cos I have to work over christmas I made sure that all my christmas shopping was done, wrapped and finished at the end of november . I am so organised I have even finished shopping for birthdays in January

I don't know if you saw The Real Hustle on BBC3 yesterday, but they were showing how easily people get scammed by these free gift wrapping. They took the toy out of the toy, filled with wood chippings, and wrapped it up.
They'd never find out untill Christmas morning...

I love wrapping presents! Makes me so excited about Christmas! Just do a little bit at a time in front of the telly and it'll be fine.

I hate wrapping presents. I do it the night before I'm gonna give them away so it's like what's the point. It comes off in two seconds regardless of how much effort is put into it.

Not for me - I worked in retail for 7+ years and when doing time in the business office where we offered gift-wrapping services, I actually got kinda good at it.
I'm also into Origami - so I guess I'm into tedious paper folding activities ;)
Happy Holidays!

Its fun wrapping them if you have the right wrapping paper and bows
but if you dont its not fun and if you have to wrap like 5 at a time it gets very tedious

The wrapping is ok, its the writing out the gift tags that annoys me ! I now buy my friends & family a christmas gift bag and put their presents in them - cuts the gift tag writing down
