Why should we only do this on Christmas? I try to do something for those less fortunate throughout the year. Reflecting on this does nothing to change it, action does. Unfortunately, I can't help in the grander scheme of things for those whose economies are struggling, but I can try and make some kind of difference individually, and I do. Do you?

I reflected on all the homeless people I see where I live in the United States and gave money to the Salvation Army. I also reflected on the astronomical costs of this war going on and wondered what our President's chef was making him for Christmas dinner.

nope - Christmas is a time to spend with family and friends...

Let the developing nations reflect on their poverty and hunger.

We get "Bitched out" whenever America tries to help other nations... and now - you suggest we should ruin our CHRISTMAS just because some DESPOT want to oppress their people? - Screw That!

You are obviously intelligent and sensitive, and I appreciate it. How refreshing, when most of the questions here are so juvenile!
