I have always told my girls that Santa is the spirit of Christmas and he is real in your heart forever as long as you believe. I think if you just ignore all the "unSanta" stuff unless they ask you about it and you keep the spirit they will enjoy it for many years. My 12 year old still loves getting presents from "Santa" even though she knows that the stories are just stories.
There are just some stupid, heartless folks out there that need our "believing" compassion not just at Christmas but all year. What would the world be like if we all quit believing in all the stories of the world? I think it would be a heartless, loveless, lonely place with no happiness. So, to quote an old movie....
"Yes Virgina, there is a Santa Clause...."

we should respect our children (and younger siblings) enough to not lie to them. all people deal best with honest information. i don't know why we, as a society, have decided it's okay to be dishonest with children because it's "fun" for them or they will "enjoy" it. everyone can enjoy the idea of santa, the tooth fairy, and the easter bunny without being told these characters are real. if you want to have an honest, respectful relationship with your siblings, you won't deceive them. what will you tell them later when they find out the truth and ask you why you lied?

Be happy they're only exhibiting you %. and not going into abdomen curdling diatribes approximately how their husbands never help. All it takes is a nod of settlement and that they open up further and extra till i comprehend how often they get any and whilst they have their rattling sessions. you're only on the get right of entry to point of the sport. regardless of you do do no longer make eye touch, do no longer even smile at them or the subsequent element you comprehend they're going to be asking you out for a drink and then of direction the affair on the hotel will stick to and girls folk like that do no longer something extra powerful than hang to a one night stand like static on socks. properly, for you as a girl you may desire to get off ordinary with a night out making a music karaoke with the cougar mothers yet drunken delivers could have you ever sitting in on soccer video games and the terrible prospect of toddler sitting on an analogous time as they pass out and do each and each of the belongings you reminded them they could no longer do anymore because of the fact they chosen to drop a newborn.

Why not speak the truth? The whole Santa thing is silly, and should have always been just told as being a fairy tale. Why have anyone believe in a false being?

If we continue to lie to our children, they will find out the truth and not trust us. What is wrong with telling children the truth about what Christmas is really about. Then we may be able to move away from being a country that is so comercialised for Christmas. I hope I didnt go over your head. Merry Christmas
