My husband has had positive results with Respirate, which is a device which regulates your breathing. He also uses Hyperexol. Also we use Celtic sea salt for cooking instead of regular table salt. All have helped in reducing his high blood pressure, which used to be in the range of 190 / 105. Additionally drinking lots of water helps. Niacin and an Indian herb called Guggul are both believed to quickly and safely lower cholesterol. I recently, personally had the experience where my blood pressure went to 156 / 71 which was very unusual for me since I usually measure 115/60. I immediately began a rigid exercise and diet regime and lost ten pounds in two weeks. Yesterday and today my blood pressure reading was 117/61 Try not to worry, think positive thoughts and know that there is a natural cure.

Studies have shown that a fat free diet for two weeks will lower cholesterol from 240 to about 160 within 2 weeks. While a fat free diet may be too restrictive, these studies shown that reductions to levels under 200 are possible through reduction of the fat content of a person's diet. Try it, you'll like it and with no side effects.

Keep cholesterol laden foods to a bare minimum; eat chicken (skinless)instead of fatty beef. Eat lots of fresh veggies, fruit, and oatmeal. Use garlic freely and add cinnamon to foods. I brought my cholesterol from 230 to 160 and it's been there now for 15 years.

GREAT QUESTION!!!!

vitamin c and the amino acid, lysine.

generally speaking, "cholesterol" isn't the worst thing in your blood. You should be more concerned about lipaprotein-a. why? because this is what causes artery plaque. assuming that you're worried about cardiovascular disease, i'd recommend you do some online reading, into noble prize winner linus pauling, and heart disease.
http://www.thecureforheartdisease.com/ - this site is a good start.

but vitamin c and lysine, DO lower cholestrol - naturally, and enable ANYONE to ward off heart disease. furthermore, eating a balanced diet, low in grains, high and fresh fruits and veges, small amounts of meat, and limited dairy prove to be the most successful measures.

hope this is what you wanted to know!

it depends on how high your cholesterol is. If it is just mildly elevated then a low-fat diet that avoids saturated fats, exercise, and fiber might do the trick.

If it is higher, then you should still do the above, but a drug will likely need to be added.

I also had very high cholesterol and my doctor wanted to put me on medication of which I refused. I told him I would be back in 6 weeks to recheck my levels. I did a complete diet change. I ate alot of fruit, mostly apples, barley cooked in chicken broth, lots of vegetables either raw or slightly sauteed, 2 oz. of turkey or chicken a day for the protein, salad with alot of raw veggies in it and topped with balsamic vinegar. The supplements I used were Red Yeast Rice 1,200mg per day, Kyolic Garlic 500mg twice daily, Niacin 1,500mg a day, and Fish Oil Capsules. I also would grind my oatmeal in the food processor and add a couple of spoonfuls into my yogurt every morning or you can eat oatmeal.

Now, this was a pretty drastice diet change but the benefits in 6 weeks was a weight loss of 10 lbs. and perfect cholesterol readings. When I would get together with friends at the lake or a concert in the park, everything revolved around food. What I would do is bring my own food and eat that first. Then I would have a little bit of what they were eating so I wouldn't feel deprived.

Believe me, if you do this you will feel so much better and you won't have to take the cholesterol medications that are so bad for your liver. Good Luck!

Niacin reduces cholesterol. So does garlic.

Lay off the sugar. Carbs, not fats, cause your cholesterol to rise.

If your worried about the side effects of the prescription drugs you also may want to think twice about red yeast rice. It can have the same side effects but usually not as bad. Another alternative is bee pollen it contains lysine and lecithin which have been shown to lower cholesterol. It is also fairly inexpensive compared to most other natural cures. A 1 pound jar is around 15 bucks if you go for the freshest a little cheaper for the "not as fresh". I get it at http://www.beeroyalproducts.com . I lowered my triglycerides from 695 to within normal range in 30 days. I also cut out most of the fat from my diet and ate more veggies. Thee bee pollen can be a little chalky so I use this recipe that I got from their web-site.

1 cup skim milk
1cup ice
1/2 banana
1t vanilla
1 tablespoon bee pollen

Put milk, ice, banana and vanilla in blender and blend until smooth, then add bee pollen (if you add the pollen at the beginning it will settle on the bottom (I leaned this the hard way).
Its a good healthy treat even if you don't use it to lower cholesterol.
