The state of bliss. Ok, just had to say that!
I liked Ohio, particularly the southwest corner. There are World-class symphonies, museums, a ballet company & zoo in Cincinnati, & in the surrounding area there are good highway systems that convienently connect you to everything. There are many & varied places to shop: from 'Off Saks' for clothes & 'Jungle Jims' for produce to everyday & unusual groceries & spirits in nearby Fairfield. Attend fun & diverse events: drink beer & dance at an authentic German Oktoberfest, to getting in touch with your inner gearhead at Gravelrama, America's 4X4 event. Great Hamilton County Parks & lots of wonderful rails-to-trails hike & bike paths. You can buy a house with acreage in the country for a reasonable price and be less than 15 minutes from the city. The Ohio River is a boater's paradise, and you can even take a cruise down the Ohio to the Misissippi.
Coming in from Northern Kentucky on I-75 North at night is like driving into a postcard as the glittering riverfront city of Cincinnati suddenly & majestically appears before you, it's rolling hills surrounding it like a crown. It truly deserves it's title "The Queen City".
