The bees fly from flower to flower. Men are likely to go from female to female. Has many meanings one of which was to start brain washing of young girls in to believing it is acceptable and expected for men to have multiple sex partners. It set young girls up to expect and to submit to their husbands having extramarital affairs.

The birds made the nests. Women stay home and make the house a home, comfortable, cook clean raise the children

No, it is just to pollinate by transfer of pollen from an anther to a stigma, in plants. In human race it is an euphemism to describe the transfer of male sperm into the female ovule (egg) to fertilize it. That means Love making between a woman and a man to eventually make a baby when it is time. Good luck.

I think it came from farming communities and the birds and the bees procreation was a little more subtle than cows ;-)
