I have indeed. The game was Age of Empires. the game is extremely addictive and I lost a few jobs, my health to some degree(including back complications), a family and a lot of other things for the simple fact that I didn't even know what addiction was. Ofcourse I couldn't get off the pc long enuff to find out for many years. Alcoholism was the addiction that finally brought me to recovery but video games was definitely my first addiction, as it was evident in early childhood. Little did I know that behavioural and chemical addictions were so closely related. Thank God for Alcoholism.

Yeah - my cousin. He was constantly late for work after the PS2 came out and eventually got fired after going to bed at 5 in the morning after playing with a mate. He arrived at work 3 1/2 hours late after he forgot to set his alarm. Stupid really and the funniest thing is: The mate was self-employed - so he kept his job.

hi, i'm like this too. i do no longer study boards anymore although because it somewhat is in basic terms packed with ineffective arguments and no help to absolutely everyone. I in basic terms see it as a pastime. people choose for to play guitar for 8 hrs an afternoon, yet considering its "cool" with the toddlers to play guitar no one will make exciting of them. enjoying video games for that quantity of time interior the top has the comparable purpose that's entertainment. you in basic terms could have your priorities directly guy. in the experience that your pal desires to do something with you do no longer lie so which you will play. i exploit to have this subject. Are your grades keeping up? if so sport on my pal. If no longer you may probably decrease decrease back. which you should to get your mothers and fathers to help out, yet while they are not powerful like mine you're on your person. Lock up all your stuff someplace or bypass to the extreme and sell it in case you think of you're addicted. staring at video clips and comments on the internet would not recommend you're addicted however. a lot of people spend their days whining approximately existence and how bored they're. for individuals such as you and that i, we've a pastime. Gaming is certaintly a exciting pastime and surely has been shown to strengthen your hand eye coordination and logical thinking. So the nice and cozy button is that in case you have study to here you're in basic terms addicted if it interferes along with your authentic existence responsibilities. in case you're via your self and all your paintings is complete, sport on my pal. have exciting with GTA IV i understand i'm going to!

I'm wouldn't be surprised. Younger folks do seem to have their priorities pretty well screwed up these days.
