St. Louis. They just won the World Series, so they are the best. Did you mean best ever? Did you mean who is going to be the best next year?

u cant really ask that question and expect a right answer.... statistically the greatest team everis the new york yankees... as of now cardinals have the bragging rights of being the best team although they were statistically the worst team to ever make the world series (and win it of course) plus st. louis does have the 2nd most world series titles... but i would say the yankees of all time because of their whole past and their dominance through baseball with over double the number of world series titles the 2nd place team has...

As much as I can't stand them, the Giants are going all the way this year, you've got our Bruch Bochy, and that little spark plug Dave Roberts...believe me, the Bochy knows how to work with an ego like Bonds, and Roberts is just what a team needs...I have a sneaking suspicion, that they are going to terrorize all of us this year...and I am a die Hard Padre fan...We do have a great pitching rotation this year...but I miss the old fashioned power hitters of old..remember when you had murderers row on many teams? Jack clark, where are you? I miss his kicking and pulling up the bases and long, LONNGGGGG homeruns lol Good luck to all this year. now i have to go wash my mouth out with soap for even mumbling the Giants name lmao

Seeing as how the cardinals won the world series, and baseball hasnt played since then, they should still be considered the best untill some1 takes it from them

As of today (12/24/06), I have to say the Chicago Cubs ... believe it or not! They picked up five free agents who have great numbers. I readily believe they'll win it all in 2007. Keep your eyes on the Cubs.
