Read some books by William F. Buckley to get an idea of true conservatism. The current theocratical movement has little to do with what you'll find in Buckley's writings. Sad, really, because there are lots of great ideas on that side of the spectrum that are overlooked by this current crop of neo-cons.

sure, no problem first reckoning. this country speaks english, learn it and become a citizen if you want to live here. next, there is nothing wrong, illegal, or immoral about giving me back more of what i legitmately earn. confiscatory tax rates do not recognize self reliance and self determination, they are infact a symptom of a society that wants a quick legislative fix to morality and common sense issues from a electorate that sometimes forgets people should be responsible for their own actions and these actions have consequences that should be thought out first. tax and spend hasnt worked since the johnson new deal of 67 and wont work now. govt. is growing at an exponentially high rate and wont replace the inventiveness or ingenuity of the individual when faced with a necessity and shouldnt. popularity (as in slick willie) definitely doesnt make an effective politician..sound decisionmaking and action of conviction does. and finally to debunk the hillary clinton diatribe...it does NOT take a village. it takes a responsible set of parents who can say no with meaning, it takes a government who understands the head of a family should be the parents and some things are best left to them and it takes people in the village to understand the best remedy to unruly children is discipline, not medication or governemnt intervention
and the meaning, lassiez fare government has a place and a purpose as a self reliant people free from confiscatory taxes, burdensome regluation and pelosi\clinton esque welfare and social reform schemes can function quite well on their own if simply given the opportunity. conservatism simply promotes that agenda.

They are the true axis of evil. There is no defending them or their actions. Anyone who does not see the damage they are causing this and other countries can only be described as fanatics. I think they are the ones who hate America, why else would they be doing everything in their power to create such hatred towards this country, under the guise of spreading democracy. I feel sorry for the true republican conservatives. This President and this administration are not conservatives, they are extremist lunatics who have hijacked the republican party.

Well, in general it used to mean being in favor of smaller government, lower taxes, and a resistance to radical change. But due to the "big tent" policies of recent years, so-called "Conservatives" are now the big government, social agenda driven radicals that true Conservatives despise.

A Real Conservative has ONE GOAL:
FREEDOM.
FREEDOM.
FREEDOM.
(Conservatives are the exact opposite of Liberals, Commies, Pinkos, & Socialists.)
