When I lived in Los Angeles County and I loved this magazine. It is great for entertainments, restaurants, clubs, special events. They rate the places, price range, directions, special discounts, etc.

dont go to the providance because nomatter how over priced and nice the food looks the seafood is not fresh. i know of a really good place called la vecchia on 2654 main st in santa monica
