We always go to my mom's on Xmas eve, then either my hubby's mom's or dad's on Xmas day. When I was a kid, one of my aunts or my grandma would host Xmas eve and we would spend Xmas day visiting friends at their homes. A couple of times, we've taken the kids out for Chinese dinner on Xmas day,

Cook a huge meal for one side of our family on Christmas eve - unwrap gifts and all that. Go to evening service at church. Christmas morning open stockings stuffers and gifts with other side of family. Talk to friend and relatives across the country. Along about 6 pm Christmas day just fall into a chair and zone out with our cats!!

We hear Mass and thank God for His blessings. We buy gifts four loved ones---family, friends, officemates, our help. We reunite with family, have a nice lunch or dinner, then exchange gifts. We send text messages to all our friends, relatives wishing them a Merry Christmas. We decorate the office, the house with beautiful lights and decor. we party. We drink. we sing. We play Christmas carols in our cd players. We send ecards for Christmas to our friends abroad. We get very stressed during Christmas. We suffer horrendous traffic on the road which could last until way past midnight.

On Christmas night, we drive around and look at Christmas lights. I know it's lame, but it is tradition in our family and it usually turns out to be fun, no matter how much we dread it.

My family is 1,500 miles away. I spend it with my wife and we do nothing special.
Go to a friends house or stay at home. Occasionally a family member will visit us and then we have the traditional meal.
