in winter, the circulation is less on the surface to conserve body heat. the chemicals causing pain are not washed away so easily and faster as in summer. therefore it pains more.

Heat expands and cold contracts.

In winter the affected parts would be in a smaller area or due to contractions it appears to be in a small area, so the pain is intense.

Well you didn't specify if this was physical or mental.
Mentally we have less sunlight so it makes us a little more blue.. they call it SADD or something like that so you are supposed to find light bulbs that are more like sunlight and that is supposed to help your mood.

because the cold makes the blood tighter and move slower so the injury cant heal as fast
