The United States is entirely unable to defeat the Iraqi resistance ... The history confirms the fate of the occupation forces , but I think that the fate of the occupation forces in Iraq and Afghanistan would be more fun than Vietnam .

The answer is simple. We are unable to defeat them because it is currently socially unacceptable to use the means necessary to do so.
Trying to separate friend from foe in a country where everyone pretty much looks the same is a hard thing to do. I'm sure a lot of iraqi's play both sides of the fence when it comes to U.S. forces too. At night they probably plot with the insurgents and during the day they praise the U.S. soldiers to their faces.
You can never defeat an enemy like that without using draconian measures, not seen since the time of of the nazi's.
There is a reason it takes a guy like Saddam to keep peace in a country like iraq.

the soldiers are making progress, its just being overshadowed by
political bs, how can you ask a soldier to clear a village for the soldiers to be safe, but execute him for doing his job, you cant pick and chose who is friend or foe. you cant tell if ragheads have explosives on them, that want to be your friend or in close proximity. you are on alert at all times, and its a kill or be killed
atmosphere. must be nice to sit behind a screen and criticize.
you dont understand the freedoms you have, cause other countries like iraq, iran are under control of the leader. if you are a christian and not muslim, its death, as an example.
freedom of religion, our freedoms arent free.
as far as vietnam, being more fun. you must have been born in 80's. cause no vietnam vet thought vietnam was fun!
the only difference between vietnam and iraq, is vietnam vets killed to protect there own lives and lives of there brothers serving beside them. in iraq, its a judgemental call on politicians instead
of trusting the soldiers to do there jobs. you dont tell me who to kill when you are behind a desk safe and away from the action,
when its in front me to use my judgement for my safety.
HATS OFF TO THOSE WHO ARE SERVING AND HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY IN COMBAT!

yes , people have to accept their rulers, the USA will never be accepted. Even if you are not a jihadist, if your killing Americans who invaded your country you would see it as a good thing
America is in an immoral and badly thought out war, the pay the price.
the USA un Bush has become even more right wing than under Clinton, American dont understand that measure on the world standards the USA is unacceptably right wing

The 'Iraqi resistance' as you call it is not actually 'Iraqis' anymore.
There are more and more 'Shahhadah' arriving from Syria, Iran, and Egypt everyday. Trouble is, the clerics here in Iraq now call them Kafir (un-believers/ infidels).

Common tactic is to kidnap a young child and wait for the father to come looking for him/her. Once they talk to the father, that father is given a choice; join or the child dies.

Ask yourself what you'd be willing to do to get your child back.

How about you removing yourself from behind the safety of your computer screen and ask every U.S. soldier that is currently serving in Iraq? Tell me what they say.

Enter political correctness. Probably got a lot to do with not wanting to offend people who want to wipe us off the map.
