Well i have the same problem and what i did was i told half water and half white vinegar and i put in a ziploc bag filled it up and put the whole bag up and made sure the solution was touching the shower head or the water tap and put a rubber band around it really tight so that it won't fall off left it there for 2 hours came back and turned the shower or tap on and cleaned off the residue and it worked i had my pressure back. Another thing you can do is if you can take the shower head out put the parts in a bucket with the solution in it then give it an hour or so and rinse the parts then put it back together. The last solution is put some vinegar on an old toothbrush no one is using and scrub the shower head and the tap and it should also work then just rinse off . I hope this works for you as well as it did for me. Good luck. And also its not toxic its all natural .

First of all, install a water softener before you try to clean anything, otherwise you are wasting your time cleaning, you'd be forever cleaning taps etc., get in touch with your nearest & reputed licenced plumber, to have a look at your situation and get at least 3 estimates for the installation.

Vinegar is a good home solution, but "CLR" is the best. It comes in a green bottle and you can get it at the grocery store near items like Draino. Be sure to wear rubber gloves!

Use "the works" from Wal-Mart" simple and easy to use. Squirt it in and around everything, let it soak. everything will come off. Care full of the eyes.

White vinegar will do it.
There are commercial products that will do it too..but try the vinegar. It's way cheaper.
