As with so many things, it depends. Some arias are harder than some a cappella choral pieces, and vice versa. Kind of like asking, "Which is harder, playing tennis or football?"

I've done both lots of times, and they both have their challenges.

solo. I always found it more nervous out there by myself than singing with a whole bunch of people you KNOW sound good!
