The word you are looking for is Androgynous, of Hermaphrodite. They are used interchangeably to describe someone who has been born with both male and female physical characteristics.
Unless you are talking about someone who is born male but feel inside that they are a female, then the word to describe them is Transgendered. Remember that this goes for someone who is born a female but inside feel they are a male as well.
One thing to keep in mind is that gender is only chosen through self identification, that means that whatever you feel you are, you are. No one can make that choice for you, not your parents, friends, or media.

That depends on whether you mean physical or personality characteristics.
IF physical: then Hermaphrodite.
A person who's physical genitalia is both male and female.
If personality: Then Androgynous.
A person who does not conform to the societal ideas or concepts of gender. Someone who rejects traditional gender roles and constraints. Someone who blends in equally as well as either male or female in appearance.
Most respondents were only barely touching on these two, but had the wrong ideas of what these words mean and/or how they are used.

I can't believe nobody has said the right answer yet:
Intersex/Intersexed.
It has the same meaning as 'hermaphrodite', but is more commonly accepted nowadays, as 'hermaphrodite' is quite old and obsolete and has too many bad connotations. Most of the community and individuals prefer to be called 'intersex'.
