Please re-read your question. The very first thing you say is that you know wrestling is fake. You then go on to ask how people can say it's fake. This doesn't make sense.

Of course it's all scripted. The moves are coreographed like a ballet. But having said that -- accidents still happen -- a move goes badly, a "pile-driver" is executed improperly, and the result is a major accident, or even death.

Coreographed these events may be. But the people who participate in them are still athletes of great skill and strength. No matter how hard you practice, real accidents resulting in real damage can and do occur. These men are seriously strong; and if something doesn't work the way it should you can really get seriously messed up. The matches are fake; but the damages are very, very real.

Wrestling isn't fake, it's scripted. People, especially those who don't really know anything about it, tend to make the mistake of thinking it's the former rather than the latter.
The moves are, the jumps, injuries are all real. (Aside from the times that wrestler fake to get out of matches, and usually they make it obvious they're faking)
The matches are scripted, but the moves they do can't be faked, simply exaggerated to look worse than it is without actually hurting the wrestlers.

The storyline and most of the moves such as a chokeslam and the hits with a title belt are fake. However getting thrown through a table and jumping off ladders is not fake at all. That's how the real injuries come into play.

As far as wrestling being fake, the storylines are scripted, the competition is fake, but the physicality of it is real. Yet most of it is fake due to it just being "entertainment". that's where you get the "E" in "WWE" due to the entertaining value of it. I always state that before people judge what wrestling is, they need to get in the ring with those who do profesional wrestling or WWE wrestling for a living and see what it's like to do what they do day in and day out before they judge it and call it fake.

That was real. It was a freak incident what happened to Mercury. It was a mistake and not supposed to happen. Injuries like that tells you that there is something not right.

Have a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I long for the days of "fun" pro wrestling with the likes of Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, The Iron Sheik, et al. :(
Now they are more aggressive and seem honestly pissed at each other. It's not as fun, IMHO.

I think they have the general moves planned in advance, but I'm sure the majority of it is off-the-cuff improvision. Still interesting to some degree.

It sadens me when people don't resepct the fact that wrestling is actually real, as i always say there are gimics, storylines, fake rivalries and very bad acting but inside the ring its real. You have to know when to seperate the entertainment and the actual sport. I hope you can appreciate what these people do and also enjoy watching their talents. Happy holidays

well, the wrestling itself is scripted, however, unexpected injuries do happen, im sure they didnt script owen hart dying, or marty g, breaking some guys neck, but it happens in that profession. you just dont fall right or someone actually hits you with something...it happens.

wwe is scripted. its just like a play, if you miss a part you have to live with it. which means it was not in the script. Same with what happend with Murcery.
