why are my pictures are too big when i send them via email ?
i take pictures on my digital camera ,save them into 'my pictures' (windows xp pro) when i send them via email they come out huge at the other end ,this happens to all the people i send them to so i guess the problem is MY end? is there anything i need to change in my settings? please help.

If you click on the picture you want to email in windows explorer and highlight it,then in the tasks pain on the left click 'email this file' you are asked if you want to resize your pictures to make them smaller and email faster.
Select 'make all my pictures smaller' and then you will be able to send them.

Hello chaos,

It could be that you have a fast computer and a fast internet connection.

Check how big the photos are by right-clicking and choosing Properties, then looking at the dimensions. If the width is over 1000pixels it's quite big!!

It's not really a problem!

You could re-size the image or crop it for the other end so it's not so big, but do check the properties of the image first.

rNo single email that you send or receive can be larger than 10MB in size - I suggest you photo's are larger than that hence your problem. You need to adjust the settings on your camera phone so that the size of each picture is less.
