Only VERY TOP END laptops have upgradable video cards. Alienware was the first.

In general, video in laptops are NOT upgradeable, and even if they are, you will have to go to the laptop's maker to find replacements, and it'll cost a LOT more than a normal card of same model for desktop.

If you are serious gamer then you must go for atleast nvdia geForce7900 GS next comes nvdia geForce 7900 GTX

and the last but the fastest of all 512 MBnvidia geForce 7950 GTX.

ATI cards are availble as Hypermory models but they suck in 3D gaming.
i'll suggest Dell Inspiron 9400 featuring 7900 GS in india
or
if u want to go for the best one
dell xps m1710 featuring 7950 GTX (not available in india)

that is a chance that the computing gadget does have a 3D pix card and also you received't have the superb perfect drivers put in. on the different hand once you've already tried that then i'd recomend finding out the specs on your pc and finding out what kind of card your pc can manage.

First visit the manufacturer's web site for your computer and check the specs on what card you have now. That way you can find out what to look for. I'd recommend www.newegg.com -- they have some great deals and my experience with them has been great.
