Well, the country itself was founded under good priciples. However over the years, though we try our hardest to be what the Declaration and Constitution say we are, there are always those few people who ruin it. All and all, I love our country, but the government could be much much better.
I would also like to point out that shooting down everyones opinion about the US isn't what Yahoo! Answers is for. You can give your opinion with out crushing everyone elses. Maybe there's a side to the story YOU haven't heard...

I always enjoy visiting the US. The majority of people I meet are kind, fun-loving and/or courteous with great senses of humour. I think its a great country with tons of opportunity for those who are brave enough to go for what they want. I think the rap it gets from the rest of the world, doesn't reflect the actual goodness of the majority of Americans. I wish Americans all the best.

If they are from South America, how can I get past the boarder patrol?
If they are from Cuba, will my raft made of tire tubes and rope fall apart before I make it to Florida?
And we have Americans who ***** about conditions here in the US!
