then you have blown the 30 amp fuse,
or the neon in the switch has burn out.
if the cooker is still working, you need a new switch, if notheing works go to the fuse box
if it is a rcb (residual circuit breaker) fuse, just push the button to re set - if it pops out, the cooker of line is faulty - get an electrician.
if you still have fuse wire, you will see the burn out fuse, and if you dont know how to change it, I suggest you ask somebody who does.

Ok is it just the light thats not lit or have you lost power at the socket?.If you have lost power try resetting the breaker.If it wont reset you may have a fault on your cooker or on an applience that has been pluged into the 13 amp socket on the cooker socket.Anser from an electriciam.

If the cooker is still working and the indicator for the socket still works, then it's probably just the neon indicator lamp that has failed, these blacken over time, but are replaceable. Try looking at it in the darkness, if you can still see a dim glow t

Does the cooker actually work?
YES...... Get a new switch, its the indicator thats faulty on the cooker socket.
NO.... check the supply, are all the Consumer Unit breakers on? Are the fuses ok?
