I think so too. Selling drugs and murder are to completely different things. Even though selling drugs is not good, it is not as bad as murder.

I can't believe all the narrow minded naive people in here that don't know what they are talking about .Obviously they have been watching to much government false propaganda put out by the DEA . Its all about money and the government robbing people .Drugs are illegal because the government is making billions of dollars from it .It has nothing to do with public safety or saving lives . In the first place 90 percent of the illegal drugs on the streets came from where ( developed by our government ) then set on to the people and used as a tool to rob them . Its all [politics and money .But just because some ones eyes are open they still can't see anything if they are blind . Just keep believing the all the propaganda the DEA puts out .Everything our government and political leaders say or do is Honorable and true .Deception and lies ,corruption ,greed for money and power are unimaginable with our political system or government .The best interest of the people are the only priority .Ha Ha

There is a difference between selling someone drugs and murdering them. Drug users have a chance to turn their lives around. However, the only person who can make that happen is the user themselves. Drug dealers should not benefit from such fortitude and deserve long sentences.

This is, by the way, a completely different argument to how society deals with drug abusers.

Totally agree w/ U! Take all the a**holes that kill people (on purpose) out back of the courthouse as soon as the guilty verdict comes down & put some bullets in the back of their heads. Keep prisons available for people who are violent and dangerous to society. Send drug dealers to live in the country their drugs came from & see how long they last there! If they grew pot in their backyards, send 'em home & tell them they have to smoke it all before they can leave! J/K ;)

I support the death penalty for murders. The penalty for drug dealers should depend on their connection to violent criminals.

Buy American - + drugs should be legalized & taxed.
Part of the these taxes should be used for REAL & UNBIASED drug education (don't have that now) & free or low cost drug treatment (only the rich can afford true drug treatment now).
Current drug laws guarentee drug seekers must deal with criminal gangs & support narco-terrorists.
The "War against Drugs" is a failed policy that only feeds a corrupt legal system dependant upon funds from prosecuting minor drug users.

Drugs ruin lives. The quality of life after drugs is not living at all. The addict just goes through life looking for their next fix.

Drugs Kill a persons future, i believe that drug dealers should be dealt with as harshly as murderers unless they have mitigating circumstances that bar that

A murderer might only kill one person and not so much as hurt anybody else while a drug dealer may or may not cause death but they certainly cause misery and suffering to many. Anybody who can do that just for money deserves all they get.

Yeah man i agree whats wrong with spreading slow life ruining death throughout communities. Destroying the lives of children forcing people to commit crimes to fund their addictions such as prostitution spreading disease and suffering like some kind of undead zombie.

Because they are a plague the scourge of modern society and they do not care who gets hurt as long as it is not them. Don't believe all this gangster rap crap on MTV its a dirty depraved world and until the government Legalise and use the Tax revenue to control and educate it will continue to be a business in the hands of the scum of society.

If I had my way i'd shoot the bastards straight between the eyes and i wouldn't loose a wink of sleep over it.

Drug dealing is considered to be just as bad as murder.

Drug dealers may not directly murder people but think of all of the indirect repercussions that drugs cause to other people - drug overdoses, death, domestic violence, car accidents, rape etc
