I have to agree with CrazyGranny.
12 isn't healthy. At that age, girls have no concept of the responsibilties and complications beginning a sexual relationship with some can initiate.
Especially nowadays, with all the supposed "safe sex" methods, the temptation to start early is stronger than ever. What young people don't seem to realize, and I know because I was the same way, is that no safe sex method is 100% reliable. Condoms are great, until they break, spermicide is good, unless you have genital warts, and birth control pills are 99% effective... against having kids, but offer no protection against STD's.
If you aren't old enough that you think you could raise a child on your own if you had to, then it's probably not a good idea to have sex yet.
The best idea is always to wait until you are truly ready, and are in a serious, committed relationship, and one in which YOU feel comfortable taking it to that level.

Your body may be readyat 14-17 but your mind isn't. Your first time should be special and you mature enough to handle the ramifications...both physically as well as emotionally. You will know when the time is right .when yourmind not your hormones say it is. Hate to put guys on the down low but, unless you are involved in a long tern relationship, it won't mean near as much to him as it will to you.
Above all, BE TRUE TO YOURSELF.
Remember that even wqith protection, girls CAN AND DO get pregnant the FIRST TIME.They also can contract an STD, or ruin thier reputation.
Don't be in a huyrry to be an adult...trust it's not all that that it's crakced up to be!~ Enjoy being a kid, your time for the adult world and making love will come along sooner thqatn you think with all the responsibilities of being an adult (few of which are even close to as much fun as being a kid!)

im 14 and ive been wearing makeup since i was 13. Makeup can be a good compliment to anyones face, but if its not for you, dont worry about it. There are plenty of girls that go natural their entire lives and love it. I agree with you that the little 10 and 11 year old 6th graders wearing makeup is ridiculous. They are only kids. But remember that makeup is used to cooompliment, not over power your face and make you look like a different person. If you do decide to go for makeup, stick to the basics like powder and blush, maybe some eye shadow and a little mascara and eyeliner. lip gloss is always a must too:) hope this helps.

It's all depends on your cultural background. In North America and most other western countries, girls as young as twelve probably should not be having sex. Twelve year olds are too immature to deal with the responsibilies of sexual activity ie. sexually transmitted infections, condoms, contraceptives, unwanted pregnancies, abortion, adoption ect. Nor are they able to deal with the societal inflictions ie. calling sexually active females whores, sluts, women who suffer low self esteem, the 'teaching' that males like sex physically while females do it for love, the sex is related to love lie ect. Not that all grown adults are capable of dealing with these things either, but kids should be kids. Thinking about sex is one thing and actually doing it is another. They need time to develop healthy attitudes towards sex as well as learn the facts. Unfortunately, there are pressures from the media to have sex and it conflicts with ignorance spreaders aka abstinence only trainers that only promote a negative sexual veiw in young adults which may lead to further confusion and the attitude of 'just do it to get it over with'. Like sex is such a big deal. This ignorance follows teens into adulthood and we've got another generation of confused scare mongers on our hands.
So, when is the appropriate age to start having sex? It's not age defined.

Sad but true, a lot of girls start having sex at the age of 12. Typical as it may seem, thinking they know everything and are smarter than everyone else, all grown up and having sex... The real funny part about it, is that they claim later on in life that they didn't know what they were doing and guys were taking advantage of them. What a joke....

As early as 12 as long as she is married. Otherwise it is not love, but just fornication or social masturbation

never rush if it doesnt feel right. many people make bad decisions doing it early. the longer you wait, the more you get a better understanding of what you want.
