I think all *people* are basically lazy and wouldn't do more than they had to.

The trouble with men and housework is that we, as girls, were given all the dolls and mini kitchens and stuff. We've had it programmed into us from toddlerhood that we are going to grow up and manage a household. Boys, on the other hand, get footballs and toy soldiers and spaceships. They don't grow up realizing it takes work to run a family, and must be re-educated.

Dont think they are all lazy but mine sure is. I work full-time and have six kids. my hubby also works full-time but leaves everything to me. I know how you feel, somedays i could easily leave and never come back, i keep wishing that it will change in time but it just gets worse. You have to make your mind up if you are going to keep taking it or not. I think the only reason ive took it for so long (24 years) is because at the end of the day we love em and if you can't find fault anywhere else you have to accept that no-one is perfect.

Stop being the victim; this is YOUR fault too. If I was lazy my mom or dad would make sure that I got the message that it wasn't acceptable.

I'm engaged and I would catch a lot of hell if I didnt' do what was expected of me by being lazy. It's not acceptable to her so I dont' do it. I respect her and I want to make a peaceful home.

You teach kids at a young age, and a husband early in the relationship what is appropriate. You dont' just let it go for years and then throw up your hands and say poor me, men are lazy. You allowed it to be acceptable so stop whining.

with out knowing the entire situation it is hard to say.so here is my thought on the subject.it is ,make no mistake about it ,the women's main responsibility to take care the affairs of the house . it is the man responsibility to provide that house (and everything in it)and protect it(and everything that comes with that).it seems to me that this is women's biggest complaint (doesn't help around the house)but i say if a man has to give up blood sweat and tears so you can eat and sleep at the very least you can maintain the place . does he have to fulfill his obligation to the family and yours also !lets be fair about it !then again i do not know your entire situation

Nope i'm with you all the way, and then they wonder why we don't want more children.
I always say to my husband if i had your life it would be bliss, you play with kids for an hour after work, your tea is on the table every evening, you can go out when u want and your kids think ur the best thing since sliced bread. lol

weekend if he's off work yes help you out around the home but weekdays when he comes home from work especially if he's a manual worker you should have his slippers ready and a big dinner on the table the poor man will be knackered

No, you've got a lazy one there. Tell him things will have to change or you'll be off - he may not realise how strongly you feel
