The western world were to discover a cure for AIDS, Cancer and other such devastating killers, and then keep it to themselves so that all the rabble continued to die off and we could be rid of them.

Leaving the morality aside, this won't work. The undeveloped world already has a much higher death rate from disease and it has been like this for centuries. The 'rabble' as you call them breed faster than they die. History shows that when an undeveloped country becomes part of the rich world, the birth rate drops and the population stabilizes. Post war Japan is a good example. The way to halt overpopulation is to improve the economic situation, including health services, for the world's poorer nations.

speaking of AIDS, the most area in this world that would benifit from the cure is the usa, so keeping the cure to themselves won't matter much to the rest of the world!
& about cancer, the usa isn't the only one that is trying to look for a cure!!! so they can keep it for all I care!

Of course not. Knowledge is power and I want to help people as much as I possibly can. Weather I consider them riff raf or rabble, it doesn't matter. I believe that I should not judge people and should treat human life with the utmost respect.

Interesting theory but it would never happen, but who knows in the future when the worlds resources deplete. Such practises could be the norm.

well i actually belive that we get these waves of killer illnessess to clense the earth, imagin if we did not die how the earth would die off due to over population and all that means, while its great we have cures for things esp when we have a loved one who has an illness, maybe that its not readily available to all either due to expense or knowledge is natures way of keeping tabs on its growth

What if they denied this knowledge to us? You are assuming we are more intelligent! I think natural disasters will keep things in check. Very difficult to define 'the rabble' .

ah hello there is a cure for hiv remember magic johnson he was declared hiv free 5 yeaRS AGO you need lots of money .also 99% of cancer is treatable if caught early
