Synchronise on a PC means to make the information stored in two different places the same. For example you can synchronise the address book on a mobile phone so it is the same as your address book in outlook or you can synchronise the music on an mp3 player with a library on your PC.

Depends on the context. F'rinstance, you could synchronise your clocks so they show the same time.

Common one is to synchronise your phone book in your mobile with one you have on your PC, so they have the same information in both.

i guess you mean on the pc, it means it links say your phone to outlook on your pc and combines all the information, i.e. emails, address etc so they are both on the 2 machines. Or for example you have 2 or 3 watchs and you set them all at the same time to the same time, thats synchronising

Assuming you are talking about a computer, it basically means to make to different locations of files/folders/sets of data the same. For example, if you syncronize your computer's clock with the nuclear time clock, your clock will read the exact time.
