I think it's going to happen. Ohio State is overrated and Michigan is VERY overrated which helps OSU because they barely beat them. Those two teams needed to play a tougher schedule to make me believe and if OSU blows out Florida (which ain't gonna happen) then I think that the Big Ten is the best conference. However, I think Michigan, Wisconsin and OSU will all lose their bowl games and the Gators will do exactly what their basketball team pulled off.

No no no Florida did not just beat Ohio State, they absolutely smashed Ohio St. WOW! This showed where each team stands at this point and that if Ohio St. really wants to contend like some ppl feel they can then they need to REALLY improve.

I do think that Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators will pull it off. I dont think Ohio St. has played nearly the schedule Florida has and Ohio St. hasnt faced a defense quite like Florida's. They are SOO fast and so effective. I think they can get to Smith and force him to turn the ball over enough to win this game. Florida's DB's can shut down Ginn and Gonzalez and Florida's run D is one of the best. Florida only has to be better than Ohio St. on 1 night, and i think Urban Meyer can pull it off!!!

There are a couple of reasons. Firstly, the Gators had experience. Secondly, Corey Brewer shut down Ron Lewis. Much is made about Conley and Oden, but Lewis was averaging 20something a game til the final. Brewer's underpublicized defense held Lewis in check just as it shut down Arron Afflalo of UCLA(for the second time in the Final Four). Lastly, Ohio State had shown a tendency to let inferior teams stay in games with them and to allow opponents to get sizable leads on them in the tournament before they would inevitably rally to win, as in the Tennessee and Xavier games. Eventually, Ohio State ran into a Florida team that was too good to fall behind on, period. Florida beat Ohio State because they wanted it more and knew that you have to play hard and play well for 40 minutes to win a championship. Ohio State won many games playing mediocre for periods of time and then playing a great last 10 minutes, fifteen minutes etcetera. Florida deserves a lot of credit for their remarkable feat of repeating as champs.

EVeryone wasn't expecting Ohio State to beat Florida; In fact many observers predicted the opposite.

The college game can be lame because the refs play too big a role; they always call so many fouls which limits the stars playing.

I see OSU winning; maybe by double figures.

Trying to judge what will happen in football because of basketball is kind of ridiculous.

They are playing on a very fast field which will help Ohio State big time because of the speedy recievers they have. Florida has not played a complete team like the Buckeyes so they will not know what to do. Ohio State will win.

If Tressel Ball is in full swing, Florida will have a hard time keeping up. I believe the Buckeyes already played the best defense in Michigan a few weeks ago. They racked up over 500 yards of offense on them. Florida cannot double team 2 receivers and put a spy on the quarter back, and put 8 men in the box at the same time. If Jim Tressel can keep the team focused like he did all year, it will be lights out for Florida.

Ohio State looked terible yesterday in B-ball. Florida could beat OSU in football but it will take a perfect game and Floridas speed to do it. Either way the Football game will be better than yesterdays b-ball shellacking.

OSU is overrated in both football and basketball this year and it is funny that Florida is going to be the team to show everyone that in both sports. But then all of the OSU apologists, like Kirk Herbstreit, will say that their layoff was too long(football) and that Oden hasn't gotten in his groove yet(basketball). We will know the real reason though. GOOO GATORS
