I would suggest getting rid of IE7 if it is causing the problem and using something else like firefox or opera.
you could try using a dfferent bittorrentcliet, personally I like utorrent and azureus. You also have bitcomet, abc, bitlord to choose from.
I had a router before that went down if something tried to create too many connections at the same time. Try reducing the number of connections in the options of the bittorrent client

I would uninstall IE 7 and go back to IE 6. that could be the problem. IE 7 is very unstable and i uninstalled it after using it for 2 days. . . . As for a P2P, i would use Shareaza over anything. It's 100% legal, and contains no spyware, or unwanted downloads.

I would use Utorrent and limit the number of connections to no more than 40 and cap your upload rate just enough to keep it stable. There is a speed graph, you want your upload speed to be as close to a flat line as possible. If it is spiking you are going to lose peers, maybe something simliar is happening to your modem. I know my dsl router/modem would reset alot before I limited it.
And use Firefox, IE is CRAPOLA.

this could properly be a uncomplicated difficulty with Vista with out restoration from Microsoft. you're able to attempt those thoughts: in the beginning up/seek window type "netsh win sock reset" or "ipconfig /renew" What the message is telling you is you probably did no longer get a valid IP from the router/dhcp server. The encryption point is additionally an argument with this, WEP128 reasons it lots, greater effective to apply WPA-TKIP in case your adapters all help that. for a speedy examine, log in to the router, disable risk-free practices and notice in case you connect. (in case you do you desire to re-enable risk-free practices and attempt a distinctive point!) the different concern that seems to reason this on some machines is IPv6. you could turn off IPv6 from the community center, basically click the adapter, click residences, and unchecked IPv6 from the record that shows. IPv6 isn't used for internet in any respect immediately and somewhat isn't mandatory. apparently to be inflicting many themes with routers and structures that don't help it, so turning it off isn't a foul element and could no longer injury. you could constantly turn it returned on. placing a static IP on your gadget may additionally artwork. you're able to do this additionally from the residences area of your adapter. the only shrink back to that's in case you flow hook up with a distinctive gadget, you will could replace returned to computerized.

I find too that when someone switches on another laptop in the house, it can knock mine offline and I have to restart. I don't know why this happens. Opera is much better than IE, by the way.
