My PC has been infected with a Malware...
An Icon in present in my system tray that is NOT from the Windows Security Center and it pops up a message every 5-10 seconds that
"System Alert"

do not open its an add,if you open it will get in ,reboot in safe mode and do a anti spy scan.then a full system scan.

It's spam, trying to frighten you into buying their software.
For anti-virus, I'd recommend either AVG or Avast!, both excellent & free to download, BUT never run more than one anti-virus at a time or they'll fight!
Try Ad-Aware SE Personal and Spybot Search & Destroy, free again to download, to deal with spyware etc.

Anti Vermins is a rogue program that is installed by a trojan called Zlob. Of course you need to remove it, but more importantly, you need to ALSO remove the Zlob trojan that installed it. Zlob infects your computer and starts generating warning messages in hopes of scaring you into buying Anti Vermins. Download SpyNoMore to scan your PC, it is very effective against the Zlob trojan and Anti Vermins.
