I see your point. But my sweetie and I love rhythmic gymnastics and we very seldom get to see it because they don't show it in the US because we never win, maybe we don't even compete. We watch the Olympics to see the best people in the world do what they do. R.G. is a treat for the eyes, and girls all over the world take it very seriously. There are rules, there is an international body that sets the standards and all that. I'm sure prettier girls have an advantage but they do in regular gymnastics too. Ever notice how the girl gymnasts are always much prettier than runners or swimmers? (Younger too, but we won't go into that). Here in the US we have huge competitions for cheerleading! And the prettier girls have an advantage there too. Maybe that isn't a real sport but it's very fun to watch. Maybe circus acrobatics should be a sport too! Of course the Chinese would win gold in all those events.

It's fun to watch, because of the high kicks and all. But if that's a sport then so is Interpretive dance. wait a minute hey! It is interpretive dance.

The name itself suggests it plays a part in many fantasies even if the acts have no formal name. I guess they have a name now, don't they!
